According to billboard.com, Lil Nas X, had seven nominations at the 2022 MTV VMAs, and took home three awards, with the artist only realizing his victories the following morning. Along with a picture of the awards night that showed him along with his three awards, Lil Nas X posted, “I was drunk af last night ngl just realized i won 3 thank u VMAs.” Lil Nas X, ended up winning awards for the best collaboration, best art direction, and best visual effects, all for, “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow. He was also nominated for video of the year, artist of the year, best direction and best choreography at the ceremony.
