According to prnewswire.com, Technovation, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the empowerment of young women through tech innovations to solve real world issues is on the forefront of empowering women to help solve the worlds great problems. It is the only program with true longitudinal impact data that shows how tech entrepreneurship experiences has lasting impact on attitudes, beliefs, higher education and career choices.
The event this year was held virtually on August 12th, where the Summit acknowledged the achievements of girls, ages 8-18, that took part in Technovation Girls. The 12 week curriculum program had 16,000 participants from more than 100 countries that worked on 1,700 different mobile applications in order to take on climate action, quality education, health and well-being. The young women involved, were eventually assigned to teams as they worked on their projects resulting in awards across multiple categories and divisions based on age.
