According to tasteofcountry.com, prior to his hit song, Fancy Like, Walker Hayes put a lot of work in to his music. According to a recent quote from Hayes, “When ‘Fancy Like’ popped, about two months in, I said, ‘I quit.’ I said, ‘I’m done,'” Hayes stated in a recent appearance on the Today show. He went on to say that, “I said, ‘Hey, I think everybody will get paid for y’all’s investment in me … because I was gone. You know, I didn’t see [my family] for like, two months.” To avoid ending his Country music career, Hayes purchased a second tour bus so that his family could join him on the road. As he looks to start his first ever headlining run, The Glad You’re Here Tour, Hayes plans to once again bring the entire family with him so that he isn’t once again pulled away from them.
