David Muse of Firefall Has Passed Away

According to ultimateclassicrock.com, David Muse who is a multi-instrumentalist in Firefall, has passed away at the age of 73 years old. According to a quote from the band’s Facebook page, “It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that our friend and loved one, David Muse, has lost his ongoing battle with cancer, David passed peacefully at home on Saturday morning with his wife Patty at his side. While we are heartbroken, we take solace in the knowledge that he is no longer in pain. His love and wonderful memories will stay with us forever and he will never be forgotten.” Muse was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 and that is ultimately what led to his death. Muse joined Firefall in 1975 providing flute, sax and keyboard parts for the band. Muse also worked on solo work and along with other artists, also forming the short lived band the Boulder County Conspiracy that featured several of his Firefall collaborators in the band. Overall, Muse appeared on more than 25 albums over the course of his five decade long career, and was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2014 along with the other members of Firefall.
