The Rolling Stones and U2 Are Leading The Ticket Gross Chart

According to ultimateclassicrock.com, the rolling stones and U2 are the only two touring artists to exceed $2 billion dollars in ticket grosses since the early ’80s, according to a Pollstar report. To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Pollstar, created two charts, one for ticket grosses and one for ticket sales. In both charts Pollstar only counted headlining shows, not counting festivals, or supporting act shows. The Rolling Stones ended up topping the total tickets chart and came second for gross, earning approximately $2.16 billion from 22.1 million ticket sales. U2 ended up number one for total tickets and number two for gross sales, earning $2.12 billion dollars from 26.1 million tickets total.
