According to tasteofcountry.com, Shania Twain’s journey from humble beginnings to a country music superstar are the focus of a new documentary titled, Shania Twain: Not Just a Girl, directed by film producer Joss Crowley, will be released on July 26th, on Netflix. The film follows Twain’s rise to stardom in the 90’s starting with her album, The Woman in Me. The footage breaks down how Twain helped break barriers for future generations of women in music. The film goes into Twain’s relationship with the LGBTQ+ community, and viewers of the Netflix Exclusive Documentary will also get a peek inside of the recording studio while Twain works on her sixth record, which is the first project with entirely new tracks since her 2017 album, Now.
