Carrie Underwood Recently Covered an Ozzy Osbourne Classic

According to tasteofcountry.com, Carrie Underwood has recently had more of a rock influence lately, recently releasing an Ozzy Osbourne cover on Apple Music, also saying that the rock classic is a song that she has wanted to put her own spin on for awhile now. Underwood recently covered Osbourne’s “Mama, I’m Coming Home” as part of her latest Apple Music Sessions Ep. In a press release Underwood is quoted in saying that, “I have always been an Ozzy Osbourne fan, and ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home’ is one of my all-time favorite songs, I’ve always thought it felt a lot like a country song, and I’ve wanted to cover it for a long time, This was a really fun opportunity for me to be able to finally make that happen. I hope we’ve done Ozzy proud, and I hope he likes it.” In her cover she raises the key on the song, however, it is mostly true to the original version of the song. Underwood is also scheduled to launch her latest tour Denim & Rhinestones Tour on October 15th, in Greenville, S.C, which will run through spring of 2023.
