According to consequence.net, new music is on the way from Silversun Pickups. Today the band has announced their sixth album, Physical Thrills, and shared a new single as well titled, “Scared Together.” The album was produced by Butch Vig, and is set up for a release on August 19th, through New Machine Recordings. In a quote about the project lead singer Brian Aubert, said that, “This record is alive, It sits somewhere in between a collection of songs and an imaginary friend. A friend that from March of 2020 to April of 2021 would not only introduce itself to me but keep me company through that time of intense isolation. A friend that would remind me that in this instance, the whole world was feeling the same way as well.” The album is led by the single, Scared Together, which explores the band trauma bonding through fear, alongside an ominous music video that was directed by Claire Marie Vogel.
