Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Has Been Sentenced to House Arrest

According to bbc.com, Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty has recently been sentenced to a year of home detention for his failure to register as a sex offender in the state of California. Petty was required to inform local authorities when he moved due to an attempted rape conviction he received back in 1995. However, Petty admitted to failing to to do this task when he decided to relocate with Nicki Minaj to California in 2019. because of his failure to comply, he has received the year of house detention and fined $55,000 dollars according to the US Attorney’s Office. According to US Law, registered sex offenders have five days to update the authorities if their residence changes at all. Petty previously plead not guilty to the charge, however he has since changed his plea to guilty. A few hours after the sentencing Nicki Minaj posted a picture to Instagram of herself, Petty, and their son.
