BET Awards Return Sunday, with Doja Cat Leading Nominees

According to APNews.com, This weekend saw Doja Cat, Drake, and Ari Lennox all looking to go home with some trophies. Doja Cat entered the BET awards with six nominations, best female r and b-pop artist, best female hip-hop artist, album of the year, and her “Kiss Me More” is nominated for video of the year and best collaboration.  Taraji P Henson hosted the show from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. Sean “Diddy” Combs received the Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest honor at the ceremony. Diddy is the founder of Bad Boy Records, he has his own television network, fashion line, and won three Grammy awards.  Performers at the event included Lil Wayne, Chance the Rapper, Ella Mai, Roddy Ricch, Lizzo, and Kirk Franklin.
