Just after his recent lawsuit with his ex-wife, Johnny Depp and exceptional Rock guitarist Jeff Beck who has appeared on the cover of rolling stones magazine three times, have announced a collaborative album titled “18”. The album will include 13 tracks and is set to be released on July 15th. The reasoning behind the albums title is simple according to Beck, “We would joke about how we felt 18 again, so that just became the album title, too.” Beck Stated.
Beck and Depp have a history as they started recording together back in 2019, and most recently Depp has decided to join Beck’s current European tour. Depp was a longtime member of the Hollywood Vampires along with Joe Perry and Alice Cooper, making him quite experienced when it comes to Rock. He even added two original songs to the album including the song “This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr”. As for the rest of the album, it consists primarily of covers of classic hits such as the Beach Boys “Caroline, No” and “Don’t Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder)” and The Velvet Underground’s “Venus In Furs”
