This Sunday, Naomi Judd of the Country Music Hall of Fame duo The Judds, will be honored with a television special airing live from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Judd, who unexpectedly died last month, will be celebrated as a influential figure in country music with performances and touching messages from some of the late singer’s many famous friends.
The event, dubbed “NAOMI JUDD: A RIVER OF TIME CELEBRATION” will be hosted by Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts. Announced performers include Ashley McBryde, Brandi Carlile, Emmylou Harris & Allison Russell, Little Big Town, Brad Paisley, Jamey Johnson, Reba McEntire, and The Gaithers. Appearances can be expected from Reese Witherspoon, Bono, Morgan Freeman, Oprah, Bette Midler, Salma Hayek, and more.
The television special will air live on Sunday at 6p/5c with an encore presentation at 10p/9c exclusively on CMT.
