COVID-19 Vaccination Proof Not Needed for Oscar Attendees

It has just been revealed that anyone who attends the 2022 Academy Awards event on March 27th, including nominees, presenters, and stars, will not need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination status.

Instead, attendees will be asked to show a negative PCR test or a negative rapid antigen test on the day of the ceremony.

The Academy of Film Arts and Sciences will, however, assure that all employees will comply with LA County’s health department mandates, which requires the people attending indoor or outdoor “mega-events” must either be vaccinated or show a negative test result.

Both the SAG and Critics Choice Awards ceremonies will be requiring full vaccination status for attendees.
