Shortly after her directional debut landed the #1 spot on Netflix, Halle Berry has entered an extended partnership with the streaming platform which will see her continue to both star in and produce more films.
“My directorial debut, Bruised, was a labor of love and I knew that Scott [Stuber] and Ted [Sarandos] would treat it with great care,” said Berry said about the deal. “The Netflix team has not only been collaborative and creative, but extremely passionate and a delight to work with. I am beyond grateful for the partnership and look forward to telling more stories together.”
In addition to the partnership, Berry, who became the first Black woman to receive the Oscar for best actress in 2002 for Monster’s Ball, will be seen in The Mothership and Our Man From Jersey—two upcoming Netflix films—as well as Moonfall, a Lionsgate flick set to premiere on February 4th.
