Sunday Football: Upsets, Defeats, Ties

Sunday was an exciting day for football, as multiple different types of games occurred. There were some major upsets, as the Washington Football Team defeated defending Superbowl champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 29-19. The Carolina Panthers also shockingly defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 34-10.

There were multiple blow-out games as well, mostly in the AFC. The New England Patriots demolished the Cleveland Browns, 45-7. And, the Buffalo Bills thoroughly defeated the New York Jets, 45-17. In the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys easily handed the Atlanta Falcons a 43-3 defeat. Finally, the Seattle Seahawks were shut out 17-0 by the Green Bay Packers, which was Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson’s first time being blanked in the NFL.

The NFL also had its first tie of the season over the weekend, as the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Detroit Lions tied, 16-16. The winless Lions might not have won on Sunday, but at least they didn’t lose.
