Robert Downey Jr. and Matt Damon to Star in New Christopher Nolan Film

For the first time, Robert Downey Jr. and Matt Damon will be starring side-by-side in Christopher Nolan’s newest film Oppenheimer. It will also be RDJ’s first collaboration with Nolan.

While no roles have been detailed quite yet, the film will also feature performances by Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt.

Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin, the film will tell the story of the man behind the atomic bomb and is “expected to dramatize the creation of the nuclear weapon.”

Oppenheimer is expected to be released on the 21st of July 2023 and will begin production in early 2022.
