“He’s boldly going where other people have gone before,” George Takei remarked on his former Star Trek co-star William Shatner’s recent trip to space. The two have notoriously been in a feud that has lasted up to ten years.
“He’s a guinea pig,” Takei continued, insinuating that Shatner’s older age will be a worthwhile “specimen to study” after going to and from space. “90 years old is going to show a great deal more on the wear and tear on the human body,” he quipped.
Shatner, who made history this past week as the oldest person to visit space, explained the moving experience. “I was so moved,” he shared. It was a moment he hopes to hold onto for the “rest of [his] life.”
