Friday Movie Release: “Fantastic Beasts,” “Choose or Die,” “Dual”

This Friday brings magic, horror, and sci-fi to theaters and screens everywhere!

Harry Potter fans return to the Wizarding World of Magic with Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The newest film to the series follows a young Professor Albus Dumbledore as he navigates with the knowledge of the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches, and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. The film stars Eddie Redmayne, Ezra Miller, Mads Mikkelsen, Jude Law, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, and Jessica Williams. Directed by David Yates, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be released nationwide.

Choose or Die is Netflix’s newest, unique horror release to be available for streaming at the end of the week. After firing up a lost 80s survival horror game in an attempt to win unclaimed prize money, a young coder unleashes a hidden curse that tears reality apart, forcing her to make terrifying decisions and face deadly consequences. The film stars Asa Butterfield, Lola Evans, Eddie Marsan, Robert Englund, Kate Fleetwood, Ryan Gage, Angela Griffin, and Joe Bolland.

Dual, starring Karen Gillan, Aaron Paul, Beulah Koale, and Martha Kelly, follows a young woman named Sarah as she deals with receiving a terminal Diagnosis. To ease the loss on her friends and family, Sarah opts for a cloning procedure. When she makes a sudden and miraculous recovery, her attempts to have her clone decommissioned fail and lead to a court-mandated duel to the death. Now she has one year to train her body and mind for the fight of her life. Directed and written by Riley Stearns, Dual will have its limited release this Friday.
