Eddie Van Halen’s long-lost 1993 Ernie Ball Music Man “Canada Day” guitar has finally resurfaced after 31 years, selling for an impressive $104,000 at Julien’s Auctions in Nashville. The sale took place during day two of the “Played, Worn & Torn II” auction, which featured a range of iconic memorabilia from legendary musicians.
A Piece of Van Halen History
The guitar, which had not been seen in over three decades, was played by Eddie Van Halen during a Canada Day concert on July 1, 1993, at Molson Park in Barrie, Ontario. Adorned with a red maple leaf and signed by all Van Halen band members, the guitar stands out as a unique piece of rock history.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit City of Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cancer treatment and research.
