Comedian Devon Walker has officially signed off from Saturday Night Live following three memorable seasons. In a candid Instagram post on August 25, the 34‑year‑old comedian dramatized his departure with the caption, “me and baby broke up”, likening his tenure at the iconic sketch show to a fleeting industry marriage. While some moments were enchanting, others, Walker admitted, were “toxic as hell.” Yet beneath the tumult, he found family—particularly in fellow writers Gary Richardson and Alex English.
Walker’s journey with SNL began in 2022 as a featured player and evolved into a repertory cast role in 2024. He brought sharp impressions and infectious energy to the stage, notably shining during Weekend Update.
Reflecting on the experience, Walker shared that despite “dysfunction,” the team turned into a “f—ed up lil family.”
Looking ahead, Walker is charting new horizons—first with a trip to Japan, then eyeing roles in prestige dramas (he cheekily added he’d love to act alongside Julianne Moore).
His departure signals a fresh season—and likely more cast shifts—as SNL gears up for its 51st season, premiering October 4, 2025.
